I'm not very happy with the way the Cracky "community" turned out.It looks like the atmosphere we had over on bounceme is completely gone now.Chansluts' post quality is trash in comparison, most of the posts are tongue in cheek ironic jokes like you see on popular imageboards nowadays, plus a majority of them are made by the same guy who’s taken it upon himself to keep the crackyverse alive.The worldoftext is pretty much dead.The discord chat is very active and has some nice stalking discussion, but it's NOTHING like the ambience we used to have on the older imageboards and all the chat services we used over the years.I guess it's true that everything discord touches turns to shit, you can't use a modern platform without accepting its modern culture.I understand where the people who insisted on creating an IRC were coming from, keeping things old-school has its uses. Pity that didn’t work out.

What are you doing to fix the alleged 'problem'? Or are you just complaining for the sake of complaining? If you think you can make and run a better site, do it. Or work within the frameworks that exist to foster the kind of content you prefer.
Are you even trying to start the kind of discussions you'd like to have or are you just hoping someone else will do all the work for you?
Things change, people grow up and mature (some people anyway), and complacency / stagnation is death. Nothing stays the same forever nor should it. We're traveling a path but you're free to blaze your own trail if you prefer. If your values have merit, people will follow you. But you have to lead. Anyone (and potentially everyone) can be a leader. But you have to put in the effort.

I also want bounceme back. I don't need discussions about verifying every rumor, investigating every drama. I want the mystery, the opaqueness, the vagueness of information, the could be, the may be and maybe there is nothing. Just the secret hideout in the internet, the remotest of places, unchangeable.
Get a static IP on a cheap server and a copy of Wakaba. If you're not doing it you don't really want it. If you can't afford it ask for help. And be careful around railroad tracks.
