I respect Alan Lee very much, for he brought the correct texture to the films in my opinion. In my mind he correctly illustrates Middle earth in its beauty and mysticism. but do not let his vision completely monopolize yours.
John Howe has brought to the series the "omg thats freaking awesome" aspect to the series that has attracted those who would find reading the Lotr a little to trying.
This is just a little mind doodle. After watching the Two Towers Extended version, I felt a one-sided tension between John Howe and Alan Lee. Alan Lee is fairly chill for what I see, but Howe is stern, with firm reason. I sense some competition or jealousy from Howe. I could be wrong. just a thought. For both have contributed equally. Anyways dump your Lotr pics you like. I will ;o;
